MACKAY SCHOOL TOUR RECAP

The JC Action Sports Mackay School tour was a raging success!!

We delivered a presentation on Domestic violence prevention and awareness in collaboration with Reconcile Life a business run by locals Namarca and his wife Vicky.

Show format: Music and crowd interaction to start, followed by an intro show from JC , then Namarca would deliver a message on DV which we would the recap with another show, combining tricks with each step of the message to help the students remember what they learnt, we then finished with some more music and more crowd interaction.

The response we had from students and teachers alike was amazing, having them on the edge of their seats during the show to having dance battles afterwards there wasn’t a moment when we didn’t have their full attention. One of the most frequent questions we got asked was “when can you guys come back?!”

None of this would be possible without the AOG church in Slade Point opening their doors to us and providing accommodation for the entire team for the time we were there, so a massive thank your that blessing!!

And to everyone that opened their homes to us for meals, swims and hangouts we want to thank you for your generosity and love!

Once again none of this would have been possible with YOU! From the sales of our T-shirts we were able to pay for fuel, repairs and food on our trip so thank you for partnering with us in this mission.

It is so exciting to be able to speak life into the next generation of leaders, equipping them with the tools they need to progress through life.

But most of all it is such a blessing to be able to represent our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ at each and every school we attend, imparting His love through our actions, attitudes and message.

SUGARBOWL JAM RECAP

The Sugarbowl Jam was big! We had carloads of volunteers from the Sunshine Coast YWAM base rock up the day before to help with preparations and on the day, by 8:30am we were down there getting the gazebos setup, entry forms signed and getting ready for kickoff at 10am!

We had some crazy good scooter riders battle it out in the heat for the top spot in under 18s with a very close finish between the top 5.

The skate and bmx sections were also great to watch as the participants went hard and threw down their biggest baddest tricks for the crowds!

Huge thanks to Dominos for providing ample pizza for everyone for lunch, and to Reid and Maria on the sausage sizzle also meaning we had ample food to feed the crowds!

JC team riders Liam and Jordan put on a demo in the bowl during lunch, throwing down flairs, double whips, backflip combos and double barspins, wowing the spectators, all in the heat of the day, followed by Mc’s Zac and Mat who shared a message of hope in our Lord Jesus, we had some awesome responses to this message, praise God!!

This event wouldn’t have been possible without the support from, Corry Cycles, Wakehouse Mackay, Rebel Sport, Dominos, Mackay Christian College, Reconcile Life, YWAM Sunshine Coast,Adam Lacey Photography, Kane Attard/Surge Youth Fam
